Ventilation Windows

Sliding Window

The bad weather sliding window was developed by Josef Weiss Plastic GmbH and caused a revolution on the aircraft market. It can be mounted in basically each type of glazing, even retrofitting is possible. The window can colour-match your tinted canopy. The guiding rails are always clear.

Dimensions of window: approx. 160 x 115 mm
Length of rails: approx. 355 mm

The window is available in two variations:
- with pop-out window (approx. 50 x 50 mm) or
- without pop-out window

Revolving Pop-Out Window

The revolving pop-out window is a simple way to ventilate your aircraft. Mounting is quick and easy. The diameter of the window is approx. 83 mm. This window is only available from clear material. It is the recommended window for straight or slightly bent canopies, which are between 1.5 and 5 mm thick.

Photo Window

The photo window is a higher variation of the standard sliding window. This window provides more space for a camera and hence allows for better photo shooting. Dimensions of window: approx. 160 mm wide x 230 mm high.

  • Selecting the raw material
  • Maintenance & Cleaning
  • Mold Making

Aircraft glazing is manufactured in our facilities from material that was especially designed for aviation purposes. The material is checked according to optical criteria for distortion and material inclusions. At the same time the high-quality Plexiglas® protects from dangerous UV radiation. A big advantage for man and machine. The UV part of global radiation is transmitted by approx. 1% only. This exceeds the requirements of today’s aviation standards. A canopy made of 3mm thick material of this kind provides an amount of protection that can only be achieved with standard Plexiglas® of 20mm thickness.

Fly-Away-Set

Light scratches can be removed easily by polishing.

Maintenance Set for Acrylic Glass

The Fly-Away-Set you are holding in hands is a combination of special products, which each complies with the high standards of the aviation industry. It is designed to help you remove signs of use from the acrylic glass.

Please refere to each user manual for instructions how to use the products properly.

One important note: In order to achieve the best possible results, first wash the acrylic glass thoroughly with plenty of water (mixed with a dash of washing-up liquid) using a new, soft sponge. Then rinse with plenty of clear water. By the washing step you make sure that all the dirt is removed from the transparency. Once you have polished the transparency, repeat the washing and use at last the Werra Clean Cockpit & Windshield Protector, which makes the results perfect and additionally provides protection from static. At the same time a water repellent effect is created and water does not leave any marks.

Take your time for the entire process, to achieve the best possible result.
