Certification Aviation / Automotive

The company is certified according to DIN EN 9100 : 2003. standard for Quality Management Systems in aviation and aerospace. Tecnically this certification is equivalent to AS 9100 and JISQ 9100. The certification applies to

• Production and Assembly of Thermoplastics Parts for Aircraft and Automotive Industry
  and Commercial Glazing

The management system is applied in accordance with EN 9104, which is technically equivalent to AS 9104 und JISQ 9104.

Certification Ship Technology

Josef Weiss Plastic GmbH has been approved by Germanischer Lloyd for the manufacturing of Acrylic Windows for Diving Systems and Diving Simulators and Submersibles. The approval meets the Germanischer Lloyd Rules for Classification and Construction for Ship Technology, Part 5 – Underwater Technology, Chapter 1 / 2 – Diving Systems and Diving Simulators /  Submersibles, Appendix B – "Acrylic Plastic Windows" The approved manufacturing processes comprise

• Machining
• Surface Finishing (Grinding, Polishing)
• Tempering

Certification as Material Manufacturer

Germanischer Lloyd has made a specific assessment for materials in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC with regard to the Quality Management System applied within Josef Weiss Plastic GmbH and approved the corporation for manufacturing Acrylic Windows.
