Perfection of Transparency

All traditional and modern processing methods such as turning, milling, drilling, filing, shaving are applied for the processing of transparent plastics. Transparent and translucent technical parts from acrylic glass, polycarbonate and other thermoplastics are applied in nearly all areas of everyday life. A great variety of material is available on stock. Our quality management system secures the high standard of our processes and products. Josef Weiss Plastic is known for quality, precision and reliability.

Threading, tapping and laser cutting is also possible. A transparent thread can turn an extravagant technical product into a real eye catcher. Transparent products such as book holders help to present exhibits in a museum discreetly.
In all processing methods, the decisive aspect, for which Josef Weiss Plastic is known, is the transparency. Grinding, polishing etc. are steps on the way to the perfect brilliandy of the final product. Trophies for example for film awards in the shape of a film reel are made of Plexiglas®. Engravings can be added.

We apply high quality Plexiglas® made by Evonik Röhm. Evonik Röhm gives a 30 year garanty that their acrylic glass does not yellow. However signs of everyday use, such as small scratches can not always be avoided. Our service range includes the removing of scratches as far as possible. Please contact us for a quotation.

Flat parts optimized

The efficient production of flat parts is supported by a computer controlled sheet milling machine. This machine can mill sheets of up to 2050 x 3050 mm. The control of this 3 axis machine is trimmed for interlacing, which allows for saving material when many parts are milled from one sheet. Two processing steps, cutting-to-measure and contour milling are combined in one phase. On demand, the machine can place drillings, indents or threads. The high working speed makes the efficient processing complete.
